At Toa Payoh - Kiros' notes

It has been 4 years that Toa Payoh Great grandfather passed on. Kicia mei mei and I weren't born at that time hence do not know how he looked like. Except for a photo pasted in the glass cabinet outside the babies' room at SK. Shaun and Bryan kor kor had visited him at Ju Eng Home when he was still alive.
We were at Toa Payoh this morning for the 4th death anniversary and it happened to a public holiday (Hari Raya Haji). Several Lao Yees were there too.

6th lao yee bought a pair of soft boots and dress for Kicia mei mei's birthday. They tried it on her and mummy said that she will bring the same pair of boots to Hong Kong for her to wear when there.
Shaun kor kor enjoying moments with Lao Ma. Happy!

Bryan Kor Kor Sleeping Over At SK - Kiros' notes

It's been more than 4 years that Bryan kor kor last slept over at SK. In case you are unaware, Bryan kor kor used to be sleeping over at SK when he was 3 months old. He did not return to 912 during weekday nights before turning 6-7 months old. The care givers were non other than mummy and Ah gong. Mummy could recall Bryan kor kor smiling at her while in midst of changing his diapers at 3am. Sometimes he will also 'accompany' ah gong watching soccer at wee hours.
Thereafter the only time Bryan kor kor slept over was when Shaun kor kor was scheduled for an operation at 1 year old.
Last night Bryan kor kor slept over at SK again. This round is minus the waking up to change diapers and feeding milk. Bryan kor kor slept through the night and woke mummy up at 7.30am.
*One spooky part was when Bryan kor kor pointing to something in the space (before he fell asleep), and told mummy that a moon is following him!!

Milk Before Sleep - Kicia's notes

Our habit before sleeping. Mummy thought we looked uniform though Bryan kor kor is drinking Chocolate flavoured packet milk.

I Am 2 - Kiros' notes

15th November 2009. I turned 2. Mummy ordered a Farmyard theme fondant cake for me. She had no difficulty coming up with a theme I would love. Animals! The only one she had was if to have a Safari one or Farmyard one. Eventually she sticked to a Farmyard one as she could remember that I started my love for animals with COWs. Plus I am borned in the year of PIG.
The fondant cake turned out to be really nice. So nice that we could not bear to eat it. It looked more like a toy or display rather than cake.

Mummy had ordered a multi-tired jelly cake. She got a Super Mario one to thrill Shaun and Bryan kor kor at the same time. The jelly cake is huge.

We were attracted to the cake like how we usually got attracted to a toy. Shaun kor kor was sleeping at the time else he will be just as thrilled like us in the below photos.
A simple cake cutting (with no proper knife).

I prefer the jelly cake to the fondant cake. Shaun kor kor ate a huge slice of the chocolate cake minus the fondant.
Zebin kor kor brought with him a present for me when we met for dinner the evening. They got a Cars mega block set for me.
Here's my Kicia mei mei looking pretty in a pretty suit. Unfortunately the suit is being mistaken as pyjamas by the 3 men- Daddy, Diun diun and Ah Gu. How careless can the 3 men get!!
Here's us unwrapping present from Ah Yee. It has been sitting at 912 for the past 2 days. I have been good and waited till tonight to then unwrap the present.

Wow!! I got really excited when I saw the gift that Ah Yee had selected. It's a Playmobil set. A zoo set. Animals again! My favourite.
It's not easy to piece them together and mummy brought it with her to SK for Ah Gu to help. Ah Gu is really good with such.
By next morning when I arrived at SK, the zoo set is up and ready. Ah Gu finished fixing it at 3am. With little help from mummy. And yes, Ah Gu's present for me (for us) is a Diego set. He told mummy and Ah Yee that the toy is for sharing with Shaun and Bryan kor kor.
Seems like everyone got me gifts related to animals. From animal cake, to animal playmobil, to diego.. and 1 more animals related item from mummy. Supposed to be ready by my birthday but now it's being held up as our new house is not ready.
Next time and I shall update in the blog. Probably sometime in December?!

Lion Dance For Bryan Kor Kor - Kicia's notes

All children from Bryan kor kor's class have been selected to participate in a MOE innovation Grant Project, Lion Dance as well as the relevant instruments that are required in the process. They will also be taught the histroy of the Lion Dance, the different types of Lion and Dragon Dances, meaning and symbolism behind the dance, the meanings of the different rituals held at different occassions as well as the influence that Chinese culture has on the Lion Dance.

The first practice session started today and on every Thursday for an hour after school. Mummy went fetch Bryan kor kor with Ah Gu. She took photos of Bryan kor kor when it was his turn with the Lion head. We heard from Bryan kor kor that there they were taught on instruments like drum and gong.

Telling Gingerbread Man Story - Kiros' notes

video

One of my favourite stories is 'The Gingerbread Man'. I learnt about this story from the wide range of Robin readers books that Ah yee bought. Knowing the story is nothing surprising to mummy. But being able to recite part of it is.

Today, mummy heard me reciting part of the story (2 times consecutively). She quickly took out her camera and asked me if she could hear me repeat and then capture the same on video. But the moment I see the camera I wasn't as natural as the first 2 times.

Finally, she managed to capture one. But it certainly has noisy background. Hear carefully and you can hear Kicia mei mei babbling and screaming.

This is not my best presentation but since it's the only one mummy decided to upload it. A better one next time. Till then, watch the above video. My words in the video as below.

Once a upon a time come the old woman. Lives in a tiny tiny village.

One day decide to make a gingerbread man. Put inside the oven, Gingerbread man come out and run away.

Good For Us - Kicia's notes

Something good for us! It's meant to strengthen our immune system. Mummy wasn't too sure what exactly had been added. All that she heard was cordyceps, fish maw, american ginseng...
Last Thursday she brought home 6 bottles of powder and we started taking them as soon as we are off our cough medicines.
Shaun and Bryan kor kor have no problem with mixing 2.5ml powder to water and then taking it from syringe. They asked if it's Vitamin A? when being fed. They are aware that the powder is (supposed) to be good for them.
Without resistance, Shaun and Bryan kor kor have been eating most things being served to them. This is indeed a pleasant change. But the same can't be said for Kiros kor kor and myself.
Kiros kor kor had his first 1.25ml powder mixed with water and served via syringe. He threw out immediately as he struggled during feeding. From then on his was being placed by the side of his porridge and given together with porridge. It must have been tasteless as he did not realise the difference in taste during meals.
Well, I had my 1st via syringe tonight. The adults had thought I will not have problem with it since I never had issue with syringe. That's not true. I struggled too. Mummy had then given instruction that mine will be served just like Kiros kor kor's.
The 6 bottles of powder are supposed to last us for the next 5 months. Thereafter if we wish to continue with the powder, the cordyceps quality can be downgraded as we are supposed to be fitter by then.
Well, lets hope what the uncle at the medical hall had said is true. We shall see. To the adults, what can be more important than our health?

Early Christmas Presents - Kiros' notes

We received our Xmas gifts from Lao Yee extremely early this year. Lao Yee selected our gifts with us in mind.
She had chosen for Shaun kor kor a projector drawing board. This board serves as a tool to practise hand and eyes co-ordination. It comes with lens that has many pictures like anything from vehicles to animals.

She got for Bryan kor kor a wooden game board that has Snakes and Ladder on one side of the board and Ludo on the other. Bryan kor kor beat mummy to their 1st game of Ludo (very much ahead of mummy) and mummy gave him the title 'King of Ludo'. This title has made him extremely proud.

Lao Yee knows how much I love to sing and said that this mike is just the right thing for me. See the way I hold the stand and my pose as well as my expression. Pro right?

Kicia mei mei has got this fishing game called 'Jitterbugs'. She didn't know to play it yet, but she got happy just holding onto the bugs as well as seeing us playing it.

We have always been taught and reminded to share our toys. No difference when it comes to the gifts.
Shaun kor kor challenged Bryan kor kor to the Snakes and Ladders game and reached the destination earlier than Bryan kor kor. Mummy gave him the title, 'King of Snakes and Ladders'. Needless to say, he was so happy with this new title and proud of it too.
Bryan kor kor played the fishing game with Kicia mei mei showing off his catch everytime he got one.
Here's Bryan kor kor trying out the projector drawing board. He drew and colour those pictures. Guess what? He started to give a $ value to those art pieces, indicated the price on them and then tried to solicit sales for those art pieces!!
Shaun kor kor singing. He detached the mike from the stand and started singing away. This move is almost similar to a singer whom got engrossed in his own song and then started detaching the mike. Pro isn't it?
Kicia mei mei's turn to be a singer. She wasn't singing. Babbling, maybe.
If you realised, Bryan kor kor and I were at the background playing with the Jitterbugs.

Even the adults could not resist the drawing board. Bryan kor kor got daddy to draw and colour. Conscientiously, daddy drew an elephant, a giraffe and cow. He coloured them while I was doodling away on the floor.
And of course, a $ value been decided and imprinted by Bryan kor kor on the completed art work. $11 and that is it!
